DIGITAL ART
During the years of my training as an artist, there was not exists the digital tool, and before it first advances, I had certain prejudice with those works that had not been handmade. This fact prevented me to explore in the digital field.
I must confess that I still meet people - specially colleagues-, who said that digital art is “easier", or disqualifies it as something that is not “real art” and the artist is not a real artist- I think it’s necessary to manage many technical resources, besides that, you need to take many important aesthetics decisions, that allows you transform something into a work of art.
After searching in other expression form, and with the certain that the image is healing, beyond its way of realization, I allowed myself being leading for those waters and I am still fascinated with the results.
A digital work has other characteristics and -obviously - other materials, but there are a special kind of magic because of working literally with the light, to choose the shade and the brightness, and its intangibility.
I consider them "Mandalas of Light". Maybe they could be captured in some surface, but their essence will be ethereal...
